 European Union Statistics

 

Modern Steel is produced using two basic methods. They are the Basic Oxygen System (B.O.S.) and Electric Arc Furnace (E.A.F.)

 B.O.S.

The vast majority of steel manufactured in the world is produced using the basic oxygen furnace. More information can be found here

The Electric Arc Furnace utilises scrap steel which is re-melted, more information can be found here
