Chrysler ‘to file for bankruptcy’
Chrysler is to enter bankruptcy protection after failing to persuade a number of hedge funds to write off its debts, a White House official has said.
President Barack Obama is due to make a statement shortly on the future of the struggling US carmaker.

Italy Riva steelmaker cuts key mill output to 30 pct
Italy’s biggest steelmaker, Riva Group, will cut output at its major Italian unit to 30 percent, or 3 million tonnes, due to weak demand from key industrial consumers, the family-owned company said on Wednesday.
