Corus half-pay break for six months
THE 4,500 Corus employees in Scunthorpe are being offered unprecedented six-month sabbaticals on half-pay as part of a £1-billion cost-cutting exercise.
Company chiefs insist the sabbaticals – previously unheard of in the UK steel industry – have few strings attached to them.
