Germany set for strikes in the steel Industry?
According to numerous sources Germany’s IG Metall trade union is is braced for a series of strikes after rejecting the employers 2.1% pay offer as "insulting".

ArcelorMittal halt US steel production
In addition to cutbacks in France and Belgium, Arcelor Mittal have stopped production at their Cleveland plant due to fall in demand.
Both blast furnaces were idled this week, and the company plans to offer voluntary layoffs with partial pay starting next week. About 1,450 union members work at the plant.
