American mini-mill drops steel rebar prices by $130
Nucor advised customers on Friday that it would reduce its price for reinforcing bar by a $130 this week. This follows two previous reductions of $70 and $30 in September and August.
Mini mills production is based on electric arc production, so raw material is closely tied to scrap prices, which have collapsed in recent weeks.
