GLOBAL STEEL PRICES EXPECTED TO PEAK BEFORE THE YEAR END
The latest MEPS report on steel prices, echoes our current feelings. Whilst the steel producers have successfully recovered their cost increases "and then some!", weakening demand in the Western economies is having a negative impact upon demand.

Carbon Cold Rolled Strip for Springs
The commonest steel grades used in the UK for spring manufacture are CS70 and CS80, being part of BS1449. They are equivalent to EN10132 Euronorm grades C67S C75S and C85S which can be found here. For thinner gauges and where a higher a hardness is required, CS95 is often used.
