Nucor to form European venture
Nucor Corp. has agreed to form a joint venture with Switzerland’s Duferco Group by the middle of the year.
The equal partnership will manufacture steel beams in Italy and distribute them in Europe and North Africa.

EU steel imports from China
Europe’s steel imports from China almost doubled during the first 11 months of 2007 versus the same period in 2006, the European Commission said Thursday as it continues to investigate whether China is illegally selling steel at below cost.

Duferco predicts slowdown in steel industry
I was surprised to spot the following article, at a time when the steelmakers appear very "bullish" in pushing through price increases.
