Steel consumption to rise by 28% in 2008
MEPS are forecasting a further large rise in steel consumption during 2008. It is seen that Asia will account for the largest part of the increase, accounting for two thirds of the forecast.
The increase is anticipated to quite modest in the more "mature" economies.
