MEPS on Stainless Steel Output 2006
The world’s stainless steel sector will record an unprecedented jump in crude production this year. We expect total output in 2006 to climb to 27.8 million tonnes - 3.4 million tonnes above the outturn in the previous twelve months.

Steel Search
I, along with many others I am sure, have found that searching for steel related information on the web can be very frustrating. The Corus board backed a 515p a share offer worth £4.9bn from CSN just hours after agreeing a 500p a share deal with Tata, which valued Corus [...]

China’s steel supply to stay ahead of consumption for ‘next few years
China’s steel industry is to remain in overproduction, with a recent jump in exports unable to absorb rapid increases in output, said an official with Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd.
‘For the next few years, China’s steel supply will outstrip demand,’ said Jia Yanlin, assistant to Baosteel’s president, at an industry conference in Beijing.
He said [...]
