Delayed plant expansion for Corus is costing millions
Problems commissioning equipment at Anglo-Dutch steel’s giant Corus’s South Yorkshire engineering steels plants have cost the company £35 million in the first six months of the year.

Steelmakers fear future stainless oversupply in US
ThyssenKrupps recent announcement of a project for a new steel plant in the USA has caused some concern amongst the existing producers. The plan (which is tied in to aquisition of Dofasco) could add some 4.5 million tons to the supply chain of which 1 million would be stainless.
