“End of the line” for Corus Rail steel mill at Workington
AS nearly 130 years of rail track production ends in Workington on Friday, Corus Rail steel mill opened its doors to the media for the last time yesterday.
A lack of space, and the call to centralise operations in Scunthorpe, has led to the closure of the site.

Bluescope Steel cutting jobs
Bluescope Steel is suggesting relatively few of its job losses will come at the New Zealand Steel plant at Glenbrook, south of Auckland, but is giving no numbers.
