Abramovich completes purchase of 41.3% of Evraz
As reported back in June Roman Abramovich, Russia’s richest man, has completed his intended purchase of shares in Evraz, which is Russia’s largest steel producer. The owner of Chelsea football club who is reported to be the 11th richest man in the world, sold his shares in Oil company Sibneft less than a year ago.

Chinese Steel exports continue to rise
Chinese Steel exports for the month of July were up by 133% year on year according to mysteel.com whilst imports were down by 28%.
Already the effect of Chinese exports have been felt in Taiwan, and it is only a matter of time before reduced consumption in China combined with their greatly increased production capacity starts [...]
