AK Steel breakthrough in lock-out?
AK Steel, which locked out nearly 2,700 union workers at its Middletown Works more than two months ago, said Wednesday it has a tentative agreement on a new contract with its approximately 200 hourly production and maintenance workers at its Zanesville Works.

New “top man” at NASS
A West Midlands business executive has been appointed as new president of the National Association of Steel Stockholders after two decades in the steel industry.

Posco increase stainless price by 9%
Posco, the world’s fifth-largest steelmaker, increased the price of its stainless steel products as much as 9 percent because of the higher cost of nickel, a key raw material.
