Coated products includes any Steel Strip that has a further finish applied to the
natural steel surface. This can include zinc (by a process known as galvanising),
paint or plastics.
The coating is applied to protect the surface from oxidation and or to
enhance the material cosmetically.
The coating may be applied by the steel strip producer or by a downstream
independent processor.
